How Dogs Index handles newsletter signups, support emails, checkout data, browser storage, analytics, and future advertising-related consent.

This page explains what information Dogs Index may collect, how it is used, how newsletter signups and analytics are handled, and what will happen if advertising is enabled on the site.

If Google advertising is enabled on Dogs Index, data related to consent, ad delivery, and measurement may be shared with Google. Learn more on Google's Business Data Responsibility page.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, such as when you subscribe to newsletter updates, email support, or complete checkout for an order.

If you subscribe to newsletter updates, we collect the email address you submit so we can send product launches, care tips, and curated store updates.

We also process basic technical information needed to run the site, such as page requests, browser details, and device information.

If you shop with us, checkout and payment details are processed through Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on Dogs Index servers.

How we use information

We use information to operate the site, respond to support requests, fulfill store orders, improve content, and maintain site security.

If you subscribe to newsletter updates, we use your email address to send marketing and editorial messages related to Dogs Index products, care content, and store announcements.

We may use limited analytics and performance data to understand which pages and features are useful, how the site performs, and how we can improve breed guides, blog content, and store experiences.

Local storage, cookies, and similar tools

Dogs Index stores some settings locally in your browser, including theme preference and shopping cart contents.

If analytics or advertising features are enabled, cookies or similar technologies may also be used to measure traffic, prevent fraud, and support monetization.

Advertising and consent

Dogs Index may apply to use Google AdSense to display ads on the site.

If Google ads are enabled, consent choices for eligible users may be collected through a Google-certified consent management platform, and relevant consent data may be shared with Google for ad serving and measurement.

Before serving personalized Google ads to visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we plan to use a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) as required by Google's publisher rules.

If ads are enabled, this policy will continue to explain the role of advertising partners and the choices available to visitors.

Third-party services

We currently rely on third-party providers such as Stripe for checkout and payment processing, Resend for transactional or newsletter email handling, Vercel for hosting, privacy-friendly analytics, and performance insights, and may use Google Analytics when measurement is enabled.

Those providers may process data under their own terms and privacy notices when they act on our behalf or as independent service providers.

Your choices

You can contact us to ask privacy-related questions, request support, unsubscribe from newsletter updates, or ask us to review or delete information you have directly provided when legally applicable.

You can also clear local browser storage at any time to remove saved cart data and site preferences from your device.
